ICA is a collaborative effort of new, established, and veteran Indian comics publishers and the first formal association of its kind. Comics have been an integral part of India’s cultural landscape for nearly 100 years now, with many iconic publications captivating generations of readers. However, the Indian comics industry has often been overshadowed by its Western counterparts. The Indian Comics Association aims to change that narrative by promoting and elevating the Indian comics industry. The objective of ICA is to promote comics culture, reading, and business in India by developing and creating sustainable resources and infrastructure, and attracting the attention of allied industries and the government.
